Where: UH Manoa School of Architecture (Courtyard)

On Friday, September 7th, 2018, AIAS Hawai’i kicked off the first event of the semester with Paper Architecture Night: Summer Travels. The event was held at the School of Architecture Courtyard with games, food, music, and presentations from students who worked on unique projects over the summer.

The event started off by honouring three graduate students as the first recipients of the Don and Laura Goo Praxis Prize. The Praxis Prize was established in 2018 to support arch 747P practicum interns, and awards top Praxis presentations with cash scholarships base merit and research potential.

The Summer Travels presentations were presented by Rand Oshiro, My Tran, Moises Lio Can, Jay Moorman, Marcos Cruz-Ortiz, and Poutasi Seiuli. Presentations included projects that was done in Denmark’s study abroad program, AA Visiting School Nanotourism, University of Hawaii Community Design Center, Global Track Program, and more. PAN brings students and faculty together to eat and socialize, making it a perfect way to end the week.
